Autumn

My daily footwear has changed. The anklet has come off. It usually goes on in the spring once it becomes too warm to wear socks and doesn't come off until it becomes too brisk to go without socks.

The footwear is now handknit socks and Birkies.

By the way, does anyone know what kind of cocoon this is? It's hanging on the back door frame. I did a quick search of cocoons, and this might be a Monarch butterfly cocoon. If it is, we'll know in about 10-14 days.
